Therefore liquid egg washes are better. Washing eggs: 0.5% DM CID (500ml for every 100 litres of water) at 42-50ºC and rinse with water at 45-47ºC. Allow less than 5 min contact time to avoid damage to the cuticle. Leaves eggs shiny with no visible water marks. Baskets and boxes: Wash at 0.5%-1% with DM CID to remove the organic load.
