It’s crafted from fruit grown at the Auntsfield vineyard, one of Marlborough’s historic sites, and is fermented with vineyard-specific yeasts before being aged on fine lees in concrete and seasoned French oak for roughly 16 months, building texture and complexity while maintaining freshness. On the nose the 2022 Blanc shows citrus and stone fruit along with white flowers, wet slate, oyster shell and spice notes, signalling both fruit intensity and mineral nuance. On the palate it’s textural, layered and balanced, with flavours of pink grapefruit pith, nectarine and citrus wrapped around compelling minerality and supported by a backbone of mouth-watering acidity that leads to an elegant, lingering finish.
