The Dehours et Fils Terriscope Rive Droite NV is made by Jérôme Dehours, a fourth-generation vigneron crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines in Montigny-sous-Châtillon, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. This cuvée comes entirely from the right bank (“Rive Droite”) of the Marne River and is made from 100% Pinot Meunier, a grape that thrives in the area’s clay-limestone soils. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged on the lees, it’s bottled with a low dosage (~1 g/L, Extra Brut), resulting in a vibrant, mineral-driven Champagne with fine bubbles and notes of pear, brioche, and herbs. Dehours et Fils is a true grower Champagne, meaning the estate grows its own grapes and makes its own wine, rather than selling fruit to the big houses. This hands-on approach captures the individuality of each vineyard and reflects the passion and precision of the winemaker in every bottle. Why we love this wine? Pure, mineral-driven Pinot Meunier with crisp, lively bubbles and elegant notes of pear, brioche, and herbs. A true grower Champagne full of character and authenticity, fresh, precise, and utterly charming.
