Ken Forrester began making wine in the early 1990s with the aim of celebrating fruit expression and balance, and today the cellar produces everything from casual, friendly reds to more structured, premium bottlings while farming sustainably and by hand in the vineyards. The 2023 Petit Pinotage is made from 100 % Pinotage grapes grown on south-east facing slopes around Stellenbosch and vinified in stainless steel to preserve purity of fruit. It reflects a modern, fruit-driven style that’s juicy, soft and immediately approachable. On the nose and palate you’ll find classic Pinotage character, spicy mulberries, plum pudding, cherries and a touch of smoky bacon nuance, with a soft, succulent palate and vibrant fruit concentration that invites a second sip.
